Why You Should Be Having Sex in the Morning

When it comes to getting cheeky between the sheets, a new study has discovered that the best time to do so – at least when it comes to your health – is in the morning. That’s correct, a recent study that studied a group of participants discovered that if you engage in a bit of healthy sexual activity first thing in the morning – at approximately 7:30 a.m., you’re more likely to have a better day and face less stress.

Additionally, those who did get in a bit of ‘cardiovascular activity’ in the approximate 7 a.m. hour and 80 percent of those that consumed a healthy breakfast at close to 7:15 a.m. were noted to have also lost a bit of weight compared to those that did not partake in either sexual activity or a healthy breakfast.

Not only is it ideal to participate in sexual activity with your partner at 7:30 a.m., according to the study, but it is an ideal time as a man’s levels of testosterone are at an all-time high in the early morning hours. This means that your sexual experience will likely last longer as well, which is never a bad thing, right?

Other studies conducted found that if your schedule doesn’t allow for an early morning romp session, you should still be participating in engaging in sexual activity. Individuals over 50 years of age are likely to have a more restful night of sleep due to getting physical. Oxytocin is increased when feelings of arousal occur. Additionally, when one climaxes, oxytocin is also released and cortisol, which is the hormone related to stress and anxiety.

Additional benefits include looking and feeling younger. For example, a study conducted by Scotland’s Royal Edinburg Hospital found that individuals who participated in sexual activity at least three times a week were more likely to look 10 years younger than their actual age thanks to specific hormones that are released during such activity. Although, researchers also speculated that those having sex frequently and well into the middle-aged ranged also likely have a healthier diet and exercise routine, which goes hand-in-hand with a healthy sexual activity with a partner.

Women over 40 years of age, participating in regular sexual activity, are healthier due to the fact that they are postponing genital dryness (GD). The more an individual has sex with their partner on a regular basis, the more likely a woman is to increase lubrication.

Men also benefit greatly by having frequent sexual activity. According to another study that looked at nearly 29,000 men and the amount of times that ejaculation each month found that men with whom ejaculated at least 20 times or more a month were less likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer later into life. According to the study, the longer a man goes without ejaculating, the more likely it is that “carcinogenic secretions” stay within a man increasing the risks of this form of cancer.

Other reasons to engage in sexual activity at the ideal time of 7:30 a.m., or at least whenever possible, is that it has been known to stop or shorten the length of a head migraine.

Finally, another great reason to engage in sexual activity frequently with your partner is that it not only strengthens the bond of your relationship, but researchers from the University of Colorado Boulder have linked this to an increase in overall happiness.

Researchers found that individuals that participated in the act at least two times per week for the previous year were polled as being at least 33 percent happier than their counterparts that did not have sex for the previous year. Overall, participating in sexual activity is ideal.

If you’d like to have an increase of health benefits, then you should aim for a morning snuggle session that leads to a bit more in order to capitalize on all the great things that having sex with your partner leads to. Remember that 7:30 a.m. is a pretty good time to enjoy all of those between-the-sheets health benefits. Just remember, scheduling in your sexual time might lose the spontaneity of it, which could work in adverse and more stressful ways, so keep it casually light.
